CommentsBeautiful photo. What kind of butterfly is this? It looks similar to a monarch, but I'm quite sure that's not what it is.

The only thing that bothers me about the image is the highlighted areas have a slight cool blue tint to them. I would try adjusting that in PS color balance or curves. Other than that, a really stunning vibrant macro!
The butterfly is absolutely gorgeous, and completely attention-grabbing! Long, graceful legs resting lightly on the little blooms, its wings glow a fabulously warm orange, the hues of a sunset trapped within that delicate frame of black and speckles of white.
The focus is so lovely on the insect's body, especially on the white little spots on its round body.
I love, love, LOVE the colours- so many of them and such rich variety...from the glow of orange behind the butterfly's wings, to the antennae touched with shimmering, dark-blue, to the soft greens of the unopened buds, and finally to the butter-yellow of the glorious little flowers! A wonderful, wonderful shot, overflowing with life and beauty!
